Peace River Center is once again shining a light on mental health by hosting a Community Summit during Mental Health Awareness Month. The event will take place on Friday, May 17 at The Well Lakeland. Check-in will begin at 8:15 am followed by networking and a light breakfast. At 9 am we will begin our program featuring Peace River Center’s mental health experts presenting on a variety of topics including: De-escalating and Handling Difficult People by Kirk D Fasshauer, LCSW, FT, Director of Crisis Response Services The Importance of Trauma-Informed Care in Everyday Life by Donna Rininger, LMHC, MCAP, Director of Specialty Services Dealing with Anxiety of the Unknown, Coping Skills for Navigating Our Changing World by Morgan Whitaker Smith, LMHC, Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Team Leader Refreshments will be served, so please register today.
