Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine at Lake Crago: SWAN DERBY

A free community event will take place on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Lake Crago in Lakeland, the annual Swan Derby features Swan Boat Races, live entertainment, food trucks and super ticket drawings. Presented by Publix Super Markets Charities and Rooms to Go Foundation, the event will benefit Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine.

The Swan Derby is Lakeland Volunteers In Medicine’s signature fundraising event and has become a beloved community event through the years. Each year, on the Friday before the
renowned Kentucky Derby, a crowd of 4,000+ gathers to witness Lakeland’s finest “jockeys” race swan paddle boats for the Derby title. Featuring three races, food, fun, live entertainment, a hat contest, kids’ activities, and fireworks. Swan Derby race day promises the thrill of the race, pure entertainment, a whole lot of fun and a community coming together.
