Salute to Women

WINTER HAVEN, FL - NBA Allstar Legend Otis Birdsong will co-host the second annual Salute to Women Awards Luncheon. The theme is "Women of Excellence: Purposed to Run - Empowered to Win." The event, organized by the Polk County Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Incorporated, will be held June 11th at the Bartow Civic Center, 2250 S. Floral Ave., and begins at 11:00 a.m. The event recognizes distinguished Black women who have demonstrated transformative leadership, exemplary achievement, extraordinary service, support, and/or advocacy in areas of health, education, economic empowerment, or public policy. The affair will offer delectable menu items and activities to create a Kentucky Derby flavor. Guest are encouraged to dress in conjunction with the Derby experience. The nominee's noteworthy contributions or achievements must reflect the high standards of NC100BW and significantly align with the core values, mission, and goals of the organization.
