Speaking of News - Bartow Cycling Events and Main Street Bartow, Inc.
won a Main Street Secretary of State Merit Award last August in the category of "fundraising" for our Main Street. We were thrilled to be on hand to accept and excited that these two events, the Bloomin Bike Ride and the Tour de Tow have brought cyclists to our town to experience our hometown cycling hospitality, or Main Street and our city. Thanks to ALL of YOU for your support and coming back year after year.
RIDES. Currently we have 5 rides a year, starting the first Saturday in March with the Bloomin Bike Ride, and the Scenic Tour de Tow in September. These road tours have a 16 Mile Family Fun Ride, and a 36 and 63 mile route. Then we have two 125 mile endurance rides which are Memorial Day weekend in May and Labor Day weekend in September. A July 4th 100 mile ride brings you back in to soda and watermelon. For info on the endurance rides please email Bob Pfeiffer at pfeifferco@aol.com.
