SUMMARY:Bartow Chalk Walk Festival
DESCRIPTION:Bartow Chalk Walk Festival returns\n\n \n\n Walkways in and around Fort Blount Park will be transformed into a temporary art gallery during Main Street Bartow's third Chalk Walk Festival on Saturday and Sunday\, Oct. 2 and 3\, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.\n\n \n\n Chalk artists will use the sidewalks as canvases for a unique art form that only lasts until the first rain storm. You'll want to visit both days to see the start and finish of these amazing works.\n\n \n\n Frost Law Firm is the presenting sponsor of this professional chalk art event that has become a favorite with artists and visitors. \n\n \n\n Artists usually plan their work ahead\, arriving with preliminary sketches\, grids and paintings that they will turn into large-scale art. The art blocks are measured and planned by the event organizers\, and even cracks and changes in elevation make a difference when sidewalks and streets are your canvases\, Chalk Walk organizer Trish Pfeiffer explained.\n\n \n\n Over the two days\, an expected 30 artists will be blocking\, filling in\, blending\, contouring\, and shading\, until their work is complete. Festival goers will vote on their favorites. People's Choice and other awards will be presented on Sunday.\n\n \n\n Kids also will have a space to enjoy creating their own chalk masterpieces. \n\n We're calling all food trucks\, artisans\, makers and home grown food vendors for the Bartow Chalk Walk.\n\n \n\n For an application email Lillycat36@aol.com\, call Main Street Bartow at 863-519-0508\, or visit the Bartow Chalk Walk Facebook page.
